About Cold Board

Cold Board is a community-driven platform where amateur sleuths, true crime enthusiasts, and armchair detectives come together to explore unsolved cases and share theories.

Our mission is to bring fresh eyes to cold cases, missing persons investigations, and unsolved murders. By crowdsourcing analysis and discussion, we believe the collective wisdom of the community can surface leads and insights that may have been overlooked.

Cold Board was developed by Frank Schmalleger, Ph.D., Distinguished Professor Emeritus at the University of North Carolina. His many university-level textbooks include Criminal Justice Today (regarded by many as the Gold Standard in justice education), Criminology Today, Criminal Law Today, and many others.
